That reminds me of what one of the stupid ass city council members here wanted to do a while back... He suggested that every side-road in the city limits that goes uphill should be made one-way, uphill only.
There would be no friggin' legal way to drive back down! I'd like to say that he was just joking, but he's senile... And he was serious.
It was in response to a car accident, someone was driving too fast down hill and didn't stop before the intersection. One of the passengers died.

That's just whacko.
The city council in this town is a bunch of old guys that get re-elected no matter what.
This last time around we finally got rid of one of them... He claimed to never physically miss a meeting. However, he fell asleep during every meeting. When not in a meeting, he'd wander down to McDonnalds and get lost. Seriously, the guy didn't know where he was half the time.
Well, technically than he was at every meeting physically, just not mentally present. *lol*
