Why??

I notice that lately I find myself quoting some random person I pass, or making an unnecessary mental note about something completely insignificant. Why? Blogging. Do you do it too?

Ya never know what you'll think of to write about when you find yourself sitting in front of your "Create" screen. I don't anyway. More often than not it's about my boys, or some strange something I managed to get myself into or out of....

So in order to use up that useless info, I decided to share. I hope you'll play along w/ your own useless info. Show off your nonsense, I'll love it.

Why do my female dogs hump each other? Are they really that confused?

Why do people look dumbfounded at a 4-way stop sign? How hard is it to watch the cars and know when to go?

Why is it, when it is time for the boys to visit Dad, I am still the one that organizes everything?

Why can I "sometimes" eat a beef taco, but the thought of biting into and chewing a cheese-hamburger totally grosses me out?

My ice maker died and then soon after the dispenser just fell apart too. I'm using ice trays and want to know why it never fails that one cube always falls to the floor when I empty them into the bin? It never fails.

Why when I forget to buy more ketchup and have to tilt it to use up the last in the bottle on hot dogs for the boys lunch, does it have to begin squirting all of it out onto 1 hot dog and then into my hand.

Why when I take the lid off and put back what I can ((yeah, gross, but it's just for this one meal)), I again tilt it?

Why when go back to make a second for Big B, I htink I'll be better and take the whole lid off only to have it glob out into my hand.

Why did I think I could catch it in the lid.

Why didn't I just remember to buy more at the store.....

What had you asking "Why" today?

I got one: Why did I not add your link to my blog sooner? sorry about me being forgetful. I've been reading your blog for a while now, but I always seem to forget to add your link, along with some others :( heh sorry about that. I never know what I'm going to write about, I'm always staring at my creat screen :)

Marf- That all fine and good. I've enjoyed the discussion over there today... but um, you didn't mention anything about MY why's. *pouting*

Lauren- Thanks. Enjoy your new blog.

Dragonraid - That's cool, Thanks for the link.

It would be really awesome if you could talk us through the thought process of one of your poems sometime. Would that be hard to do?

I can't imagine you staring at the create screen for long though, you have some amazing stuff.

Thanks for stopping by...

Well, fine...

I wasn't aware that female dogs hump each other. Male dogs hump about anything...

Because there's way too many impatient people that go when they're not suppose to, so it screws up and confuses the timing at a 4-way stop.

Because you're willing to do the organizing. If you didn't, then someone else would have to.

I don't know. I don't have that problem. I'm definitely not a vegetarian.

You probably (as a creature of habit) dump the ice in the same way every time.

When the ketchup bottle is mostly empty (or full of air), the air inside starts to expand when it warms up outside the fridge. This creates a pressure in the bottle. A lot of times I'll press on and slightly collapse a plastic bottle and then put on the lid, so there won't be as much pressure for next time.

Perhaps there was still some condensation on the lid? Or perhaps it's so you can see the edge of the container and the groove in the lid so you can line them up.

The last 3, only you could know...

Yes they do... and actually J was at work talking to someone about it and that guy in a very calm and casual manner says "that's nothing' my male goats f*%#k each other."

And "yep probably" works on the rest of them. I never would have thought to squish the air out of the bottle though.

I have no why's... Except... nope no why's... well 1... Why are there so many crappy parents out there that hurt and some even kill their kids... and good people that want them badly and would love them can't have them... That's my why... don't really want an answer though

Joseph Campbell once wrote that "if you really want to help this world, what you will have to teach is how to live in it. And that no one can do who has not himself learned how to live in it in the joyful sorrow and sorrowful joy of the knowledge of life as it is". Why is it so hard to to find acceptance for some of the crappy things in the world that you can't change (and that might not even be changeable)?

i've finally figured it out! i think...lol. i'm ready to try to talk you through one of my lyrics "Darkness" and my thought process. i'm just wondering: where do you want me to put the explanation? on a comment on this post? a different post? e-mail? where? lol

Monique said...

Thanks Susan.

Dragonraid- Well, "where" is totally up to you. If you email it, I'll do a post here about it. If you post on your blog, I'll link to it. If you put it in the comments I'll do something w/ it, just not sure what.

Let me know. I'm very curious.
