1) What was I doing 10 years ago?

Kind of funny this should be handed off to me at this time.


10 years ago I was engaged and planning a September wedding. We had just moved to Tulsa, Oklahoma from Springdale, Arkansas and were living w/ my Mother and Step-Father while J toggled between companies that were all drooling for him.

The move here was for me. I hated Arkansas. I had moved there in 1995 from Houston, Texas and took the first opportunity I found to get the hell out. J and I both kind of knew this was the "last go at it" for us, and coming home for me was security I needed at the time. If we couldn't make it work then we were parting ways.

June 7th 1998 we had a positive pregnancy test, 3 of them. I went to the Doctor the following week to confirm that I was indeed pregnant. I remember sitting in the office w/ my Mom when the nurse came in and sat down, telling us very calmly it was positive. I burst into tears and I saw the disgust on her face like "great, another unwanted". But as soon as I composed myself and looked up, my Mom did too and saw the expression on the nurse's face and very quickly made it clear that these were happy tears. She started to cry too. I was hysterically happy like I have never felt before. Ok, once, in October 2004 when I got the test that would tell me Little B was coming.

I spent my teen years being young, wild and stupid. But all along, I knew, I just knew the Mom I would be. So I got it all out my system then. I quit everything the moment I got the very first positive. And that was 10 years ago ((in 2 weeks)).

Obviously J and I were married. We went to the little college town where we met ((in college)) and went into City Hall. Not what I had planned, but we had to fit it into a timeline. August 17th was the cut-off for me to be added to his health insurance as his wife before the pregnancy would not be covered. August 14th 1998 we were married.

2) 5 things on my to do list for today. Well, it's 11 30pm, so we'll say tomorrow.

-1- Watch Big B mow the backyard, spraying him w/ the water hose periodically to lessen the whine.
-2- Climb into the very cold pool for the first time fully submerged, fully filled, to do a last check before chemicals and covering until it warms enough for the boys.
-3- Making salsa and fajitas
-4- Scrubbing my kitchen down while Big and Little B play outside.
-5- Secretly invite Neo to spend the night to surprise Big B, then plan a cool night for them.

3) Snacks I enjoy.

Pretty much any veggie or fruit ((we have a verrry cold watermelon in the fridge for this weekend, and I am SO excited)), Jalapeno Pistachio's, ((I actually bought corn nuts for the movie tonight, they weren't very good, still don't know what made me pick them up)) Homemade Chocolate Chip Cookies

4) Things I would do if I were a Billionaire.

Get rid of my debt
Invest !!
Buy a house for my Mother w/ the care she needs so she can retire
((Gah, a BILLionaire))
((Wow, that's too much to wrap my brain around))
Move
Donate
Buy something
Give more away than I buy
There are just too many options w/ a billion dollars.
