This Is NOT A Very Good Day.....

Little B has taken to throwing the kittens. He thinks it is cute even though we've been over and over the fact that the kittens DO NOT like it, nor do I like when they attach themselves to me w/ their claws and then precede to slide down whatever body part, reattaching themselves.

I'm sitting here now w/ tiny beads of blood on my leg. Grrrrr. And on the inside of my thigh no less, the most tender of areas on the leg. Grrrrrrrrrrrrr x2

My printer will not cooperate. There is no reason for it to act this way, but it JUST refuses to comply. It knows I'm not going to give up until it does, so it must enjoy tormenting me.

J was offered a very nice position w/ a great company. I need to print his resume for him and can not. He's stressed, I'm stressin' - and I've had a kitten thrown on me. Grrrrrrrrrrrrrr x3

Mother's Day is Sunday, we always have a big cookout w/ family and
friends, but the pool is still nasty. We usually clean it in April and start w/ chemicals and cleaning, so by now the boys would be almost ready to swim. Big B would have in fact already been in it at least once, he can take it.

The pool is a huge soft sided pool w/ an inflated ring around the top. That ring was punctured in December during the ice storm when the tree hanging over it began to droop w/ the weight of the ice. PSO is set to take the tree down, but has not done so, much to my frustration. Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr x4

Anyway, the tree is still there, I can't clean the pool until it is gone. We now have a massive tadpole population there as you can see in this video I did yesterday. The tree people were on my street, 2 houses away, but did not work here. Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr x5

....... and then at night the back is full of sounds. Sorry it is black, I thought I had enough light to at least offer an image of some kind.

Had you seen something, it would have been nothing more than this anyway -

So we will have a beautiful afternoon outside Sunday, w/ this green squirmy eye sore in the corner of the yard. A topic of conversation no doubt, but grody and doesn't really GO w/ ribs, chicken and corn-on-the-cob, among other things, you know ?

..... and who couldn't use a little crazy frog in their day ? Made me smile.

((These don't do it justice. I should have taken one from underneath where it could show the width. But you get the idea, though Marf dear, I know you aren't impressed. If this was hanging over your head, or that of your child's or animal's, you would feel differently. And yes, I am aware that you have neither.))

That's a lot of tadpoles. Although I wouldn't call that tree a "massive" beast. It doesn't look that big...

I forgot to add the other pics, showing why it is hanging so low.

Oh but it is a massive beast. What you see is just the portion that is in my yard. It's in the yard of the house diagonal to me, and coming off the side is this "limb" that standing vertical would be its own tree, standing 20ft tall w/ a trunk 2ft wide.

While that may not be impressive on its own, to know that this is hanging off the side of a tree is pretty darn big in my eyes...

I'll get them on here... Now Marf, I'm not talking Redwood trees or anything, but for my yard, and this situation - it is a massive beast.

I guess because I live in an Alaska rain forest, I see a lot of big trees. My opinion of what's a big tree is thus skewed.

I understand completely...

The kitten's claws must have been painful! You mentioned that you were going to try to save all the tadpoles, how are you going to do that? (at least that's what I thought I heard in the video, I might have misheard)

Monique said...

Yes they did hurt, and now I've spent the day repeatedly answering the question "What on earth happened to your leg Monique ?" ....

No, there is just no way to save them... They will die and I will be sad for a moment, until I remember that the only other option is to have hundreds of frogs in a few weeks.

Can't do that !

*laugh* I was wondering how you were going to manage that. Hope you can salvage the pool

Thanks.... I hope so too....
